Enough

Enough

Body hunched Bones groan People walk stiffly not swiftly Yet they’re not old Devour the lie we’ve all been sold Face illuminated day and night By manmade light. Somewhere in between sleepy and awake This reality we trying to shake How sick will we become? And just how gruff? Who will call our bluff?   Yearn to venture outta the 5G bubble That’s trapping us into a world o’ trouble Before we drop that tiny thing That piece of metal got us In a sling How sick will we become? And just how gruff? It’s gotten kinda ruff.   Find the bridge… Walk right into the forest Learning to live like those before us Leaning up into the sun Real healing has begun Air is clean and communities, warm Here, even bees still swarm. Fruit trees full blooming and bodies not troubled Now our understanding’s doubled.   Until then, Just how sick will we become, And how gruff? Before we say, Enough.”   Angela lives in the beautiful state of California where she is a Massage Therapist. She journals and also choreographs dance. She accepted Christ over a decade ago and continues her pursuit after the heart of God through the performing arts of poetry, dance and health. The Unknown Journey

The Unknown Journey

Everyday during my bike trek holds a new adventure. I am persuaded that until I allow God to take me to a place, a way of life or an unknown journey of some kind, I will never ever discover who He has made me to be. If you have a routine of predictability and a life that is centered around a paradigm that is all about being comfortable and having your nice life in tact, you are missing your unknown journey and a discover of who you really are. Only God can show this to you and you have to let Him take you on the journey just for you. I pray this poem speaks to your heart.   As I release what is known to me As I reach by faith beyond what I see I begin an unknown journey To a destiney beyond the scripted lie told by mere mortals who die I’ll not capitulate my identity To satisfy society To fit in a group who groops my mind with old ideas scripted to arrest my individuality Less I miss the unknown journey tailored for me A unique, unscripted expression of experiences await my commitment Beacons my heart to step by faith in its direction To find a deepening fulfillment beyond temporal satisfaction The unknown journey to meet a known and yet unknown God He’s drawing me into a deeper knowing of Who He is… to me Only when I yield by faith towards this unknown journey I will begin today Share this:FacebookLinkedInTwitterTumblrLike this:Like...
Servant to Greatness

Servant to Greatness

This morning when I opened my eyes, I came to realize that my bike trek launch is getting closer. He reminded me what He told me last night when I went to go visit a Pastor in the Hospital who broke his ankle and needed an operation.  As I walked through the parking lot, the Lord said to me, when I was sick did you visit me? I immediately reflected that I had not over the course of my life as a deliberate habit. In fact unless it was someone I knew, I never had. I then begin to think about the elderly in hospice care, veterans in hospitals, and teenagers at teen challenge. I was overwhelmed with conviction because I had plans to simply ride my bike to speak to people about “shifting to greatness”, not to directly serve people in need. Okay, nothings wrong with speaking, but that’s not really what God had in mind. He wanted me to serve those who where not expecting me, those who have nothing to offer but their wounded hearts. Tears begin to well up in my eyes as I felt the compassion that God feels for people who are in pain of heart and body. I also felt the conviction of my selfish agenda visit me wave after wave. Jesus said those who will be great amongst you let him be your servant. It had never been clearer to me before like it was this morning. It was a revelation that gave birth to this poem. My agenda for this bike trek has evolved to God’s idea of greatness: Servanthood. Thank...

Rhetoric Prevails

Rhetoric Prevails from Through People on Vimeo. The prescription for depression of most Americans is to be obligated To a overrated ideology that cannot be substantiated by history It’s sheer philosophy concocted with phraseologies that avoid accountability to the people With cultic rituals political agendas Master pretenders Complicit leaders Group thinkers It’s impossible to have a simple conversation Rhetoric is the new religion It has a pace that’s predictable A face that familiar A race of many shades that’s gullible Some ask how and why can this be Overrule the mind of reason Common sense and the consequences of failures that all can see Yet still Rhetoric prevails It’s conditioning that started decades ago The first step was when they took prayer out of schools Rejected God from being mentioned on the job The Ten Commandments from the court houses near and far Getting sued for not baking a cake to marry two… Fear has won the day upon most Created slaves that are doped in the brain worse than chains touching every class of man People dare not stand alone upon the foundation of truth Need no voting booth Was here before America was Will remain when this nation is dissolved Rhetoric is weak Prey’s upon those who refuse to seek… the truth Can’t stand where there is light Like a cock roach it scatters Like a mice it hides Eventually it will prevail no more Those who are it’s victims will loose their very souls Rhetoric is a convoluted lie A damnable lie or statistics taken for the Gospel as the truth Listen to what I say...
Vegas Strong

Vegas Strong

Vegas Strong Poem from Through People on Vimeo. Vegas Strong Represents people from every city and many nations They arrive to take a trip down the strip by feet or stretch limousine Eating an In and Out Burger or the best in cuisine To get married Or just meet someone new People eventually come to Vegas…. That’s just what Americans do America is a nation where it’s people flow and go Many choose Las Vegas for a show A game A conference To just chill by the pool Or Roll the dice… Some win, most lose Hey… It’s America Where free people roam Where freedom rules Vegas is a collection of residents and visitors That represent a nation of people who are compassionate Where communities of many colors and creed, beliefs and needs come together To love and be loved Because deep inside we’re all in need of the same towards and from each other People on plane land from different parts of the world To Be amazed by the lights that shine bright Till the dawn of the morning Reminding us all that God’s grace is available for redemption We need just pay attention Are you listening… When horror strikes in the night Taking with it 59 precious lives With 597 still in the fight – to live We’re praying – cause God still heals Family and friends A sister, brother A father or mother We all are suffering this evil act From a dark soul provoked by wicked principalities Oh what depths of darkness awaits his fate We need not show his face…. Again Vegas Strong...
